أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ الْقَاسِمِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُكُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَا يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا وَلَا نَعْلَمُ الْحَجَّ يُحِلُّهُ إِلَّا الطَّوَافُ بِالْبَيْتِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan], ia berkata; saya pernah mendengar [Abdur Rahman bin Al Qasim] menceritakan dari [ayahnya], ia berkata; [Aisyah] berkata; saya pernah menganyam beberapa kalung hewan kurban Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam lalu beliau tidak menjauhi sesuatupun, dan kami tidak mengetahui haji di halalkan kecuali oleh thawaf di Ka'bah.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
