أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيُّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ بِغَيْرِ إِحْرَامٍ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Qutaibah], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Mu'awiyah bin 'Ammar], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepadaku [Abu Az Zubair Al Makki] dari [Jabir bin Abdullah] bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam masuk pada saat penaklukan Mekkah dengan mengenakan sorban hitam tidak untuk ihram.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
