أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْوَلِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّأَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِيَّاكُمْ وَكَثْرَةَ الْحَلِفِ فِي الْبَيْعِ فَإِنَّهُ يُنَفِّقُ ثُمَّ يَمْحَقُ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Harun bin Abdullah], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Usamah], ia berkata; telah memberitakan kepadaku [Al Walid yaitu Ibnu Katsir] dari [Ma'bad bin Ka'b bin Malik] dari [Abu Qatadah Al Anshari] bahwa ia mendengar Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Berhati-hatilah kalian dari sering bersumpah dalam berjual beli, karena sesungguhnya bisa jadi ia menjual kemudian dihilangkan berkahnya."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
