أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَهُمْأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَبْتَاعُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الرُّكْبَانِ فَنَهَاهُمْ أَنْ يَبِيعُوا فِي مَكَانِهِمْ الَّذِي ابْتَاعُوا فِيهِ حَتَّى يَنْقُلُوهُ إِلَى سُوقِ الطَّعَامِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Abdur Rahman bin Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Abdul Hakam], ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Syu'aib bin Al Laits] dari [ayahnya] dari [Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman] dari [Nafi'] bahwa [Ibnu Umar] telah menceritakan kepada mereka bahwa mereka membeli makanan pada zaman Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam dari orang-orang membawa dagangan ke pasar kemudian beliau melarang mereka untuk menjual di tempat mereka membelinya hingga memindahnya ke pasar makanan.

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
