أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا جَدَّ بِهِ السَّيْرُ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Manshur] dia berkata; Telah memberitakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dia berkata; Aku mendengar [Az Zuhri] dia berkata; Telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Salim] dari [Bapaknya] dia berkata; "Aku melihat Nabi Shallallahu'alaihi wasallam bila tergesa-gesa dalam perjalanan beliau menjama' antara shalat Maghrib dan Isya'."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
