حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ غَدَاةٍ وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ مِنْ شَعَرٍ أَسْوَدَقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ahmad bin Mani'] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Zakariya bin Abu Za`idah] telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Ayahku] dari [Mush'ab bin Syaibah] dari [Shafiyah binti Syaibah] dari ['Aisyah] ia berkata; "Pada suatu pagi, Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam pergi sambil mengenakan pakaian dari bulu berwarna hitam." Abu Isa berkata; Hadits ini hasan gharib shahih.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
